🌈 Adjective-এর তিন প্রকারের ডিগ্রি

Adjective-এর Positive, Comparative, এবং Superlative ডিগ্রি sentence-এর বিভিন্ন comparison বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। নিচে প্রতিটি ডিগ্রির বিস্তারিত ব্যাখ্যা দেওয়া হলো।

1️⃣ Positive Degree (পজিটিভ ডিগ্রি)

যখন কোনও ব্যক্তি বা জিনিসের গুণাবলীর সাধারণ উল্লেখ করা হয় এবং তুলনা করা হয় না, তখন Adjective-এর Positive Degree ব্যবহৃত হয়।
উদাহরণ:

English	Bengali
He is tall.	সে লম্বা।
This book is interesting.	এই বইটি আকর্ষণীয়।

Positive Degree সাধারণত কোনও তুলনা ছাড়াই গুণের সাধারণ বর্ণনা দেয়।

2️⃣ Comparative Degree (কম্পারেটিভ ডিগ্রি)

যখন দুই ব্যক্তি বা জিনিসের মধ্যে তুলনা করা হয়, তখন Adjective-এর Comparative Degree ব্যবহৃত হয়।
এই ডিগ্রিতে Adjective-এর শেষে -er যোগ করা হয় অথবা more ব্যবহৃত হয়।
উদাহরণ:

He is taller than his brother.	সে তার ভাইয়ের থেকে লম্বা।
This book is more interesting than that one.	এই বইটি ওই বইটির থেকে বেশি আকর্ষণীয়।

Comparative Degree সাধারণত than ব্যবহার করে তুলনা বোঝায়।

3️⃣ Superlative Degree (সুপারলেটিভ ডিগ্রি)

যখন কোনও ব্যক্তি বা জিনিসের গুণাবলীর সর্বোচ্চ স্তর বোঝানো হয়, তখন Adjective-এর Superlative Degree ব্যবহৃত হয়।
এই ডিগ্রিতে Adjective-এর আগে the এবং শেষে -est যোগ করা হয় অথবা most ব্যবহৃত হয়।
উদাহরণ:

He is the tallest boy in the class.	সে ক্লাসের সবচেয়ে লম্বা ছেলে।
This is the most interesting book I have ever read.	এটি আমার পড়া সবচেয়ে আকর্ষণীয় বই।

Superlative Degree সর্বোচ্চ স্তরের গুণ বোঝায় এবং সাধারণত the এর আগে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

কিছু Adjective-এর Comparative ও Superlative ফর্ম নিয়মিতভাবে পরিবর্তিত হয়, আবার কিছু ক্ষেত্রে ফর্ম পরিবর্তন অনিয়মিত হয়।

🌟 Adjective-এর তুলনার নিয়ম

নিয়ম ১: small word এর জন্য “-er” এবং “-est” যোগ করা হয়

যেসব বিশেষণ ছোট (এক বা দুই syllable বিশিষ্ট), তাদের তুলনা করতে শেষে “-er” এবং “-est” যোগ করা হয়।

নিয়ম ২: consonant দ্বিগুণ হয়

যেসব adjective এর শেষে vowel এবং তারপরে একটি consonant থাকে, সেক্ষেত্রে consonant দ্বিগুণ হয়।

নিয়ম ৩: “e” দিয়ে শেষ হলে

যেসব adjective “e” দিয়ে শেষ হয়, তাদের comparative এবং সুপারলেটিভ রূপে “-r” এবং “-st” যোগ করা হয়।

নিয়ম ৪: “y” দিয়ে শেষ হলে

যেসব adjective “y” দিয়ে শেষ হয়, তাদের comparative এবং সুপারলেটিভ রূপে “-ier” এবং “-iest” যোগ করা হয়।

নিয়ম ৫: একাধিক শব্দবিশিষ্ট বিশেষণ

যেসব বিশেষণ একাধিক syllable , তাদের comparative এবং সুপারলেটিভ রূপে “more” এবং “most” যোগ করা হয়।

নিয়ম ৬: অনিয়মিত adjective

কিছু adjective - comparative এবং সুপারলেটিভ রূপে অনিয়মিত (irregular) ভাবে পরিবর্তিত হয়।

Wrong Use of Double Comparatives and Superlatives

Wrongly Using Double Comparatives (ডাবল কমপ্যারেটিভ ভুল ব্যবহার)

ডাবল কমপ্যারেটিভ তখন ভুল হয়, যখন দুটি comparative ফর্ম একসঙ্গে ব্যবহার করা হয়, যা সঠিক নয়। নিচে কিছু ভুল উদাহরণ দেওয়া হলো:

ভুল: She is more taller than her sister.

সঠিক: She is taller than her sister.

ব্যাখ্যা: এখানে "more" ব্যবহারের দরকার নেই কারণ "taller" already comparative ফর্ম।

ভুল: The more smarter you are, the better chance you have.

সঠিক: The smarter you are, the better chance you have.

ব্যাখ্যা: "Smarter" already comparative adjective, তাই "more" ব্যবহার করার প্রয়োজন নেই।

ভুল: This is more better than the other one.

সঠিক: This is better than the other one.

ব্যাখ্যা: "Better" already comparative form of "good," তাই "more" ব্যবহার করা ভুল।

Wrongly Using Double Superlatives (ডাবল সুপারলেটিভ ভুল ব্যবহার)

ডাবল সুপারলেটিভ তখন ভুল হয়, যখন দুটি superlative ফর্ম একসঙ্গে বা অতিরিক্ত modifier ব্যবহার করা হয়। নিচে কিছু ভুল উদাহরণ দেওয়া হলো:

ভুল: She is the most smartest student in the class.

সঠিক: She is the smartest student in the class.

ব্যাখ্যা: "Smartest" already superlative form, তাই "most" ব্যবহার করা অপ্রয়োজনীয়।

সঠিক: This is the best movie I have ever seen.
