স্থান নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Place)

• On, At, In, Against, Above, Across, Before, Behind, Over, Under, Among, Below, Between, Upon ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• The book is on the table. (বইটি টেবিলের উপর আছে)
• He is at the door. (সে দরজার কাছে আছে)
• The pen is in the bag. (কলমটি ব্যাগের ভেতরে আছে)
• He leaned against the wall. (সে দেওয়ালের সাথে হেলান দিয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে)
• The bridge is over the river. (ব্রিজটি নদীর উপর আছে)

সময় নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Time)

• After, Before, At, On, By, Behind, During, In, For, Since, Through, Till, Until, With, Within, From ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• He arrived before noon. (সে দুপুরের আগেই এসেছে)
• The train will leave at 5 PM. (ট্রেন বিকাল ৫টায় ছাড়বে)
• She was born on Monday. (সে সোমবার জন্মগ্রহণ করেছে)
• I have lived here since 2010. (আমি ২০১০ সাল থেকে এখানে আছি)
• We stayed in Dhaka for two years. (আমরা দুই বছর ধরে ঢাকায় ছিলাম)

কারণ/উদ্দেশ্য নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Cause/Purpose)

• For, Of, From, Through, With ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• He died of cancer. (সে ক্যান্সারে মারা গেছে)
• She studies for success. (সে সফলতার জন্য পড়াশোনা করে)
• He suffered from fever. (সে জ্বরে ভুগছিল)
• The work was completed through hard work. (কঠোর পরিশ্রমের মাধ্যমে কাজটি সম্পন্ন হয়েছে)

পদ্ধতি নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Manner)

• Like, With, By ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• She speaks like a teacher. (সে একজন শিক্ষকের মতো কথা বলে)
• He solved the problem with intelligence. (সে বুদ্ধিমত্তার সাথে সমস্যা সমাধান করেছে)
• She traveled by car. (সে গাড়িতে ভ্রমণ করেছে)

মালিকানা নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Possession)

• Of, By, With ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• This is the house of my father. (এটি আমার বাবার বাড়ি)
• The book was written by Shakespeare. (বইটি শেক্সপিয়ারের লেখা)
• The boy with a blue shirt is my friend. (নীল জামা পরা ছেলেটি আমার বন্ধু)

মাত্রা/হার/মূল্য নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Measure/Rate/Value)

• At, By, For, To ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• Apples are sold by the dozen. (আপেল ডজন হিসাবে বিক্রি হয়)
• I bought the book for $10. (আমি বইটি ১০ ডলারে কিনেছি)

বিরোধিতা/ছাড় নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Contrast/Concession)

• In spite of, Notwithstanding, Nevertheless ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• In spite of his illness, he attended the class. (তার অসুস্থতা সত্ত্বেও, সে ক্লাসে উপস্থিত ছিল)
• Notwithstanding the difficulties, they succeeded. (কঠিনতা সত্ত্বেও তারা সফল হয়েছে)

বিচ্ছেদ নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Separation)

• From, Of, Off ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• He is free from danger. (সে বিপদ থেকে মুক্ত)
• The lid fell off the jar. (ঢাকনাটি জার থেকে পড়ে গেল)

সম্পর্ক নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Relationship)

• With, Together with, In company with, Along with ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• He went along with his brother. (সে তার ভাইয়ের সাথে গেল)
• She was working together with her team. (সে তার দলের সাথে কাজ করছিল)

সমর্থন/বিরোধিতা নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Support/Opposition)

• For, Against ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• I am for this decision. (আমি এই সিদ্ধান্তের পক্ষে)
• They protested against the new law. (তারা নতুন আইনের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ করল)

ব্যতিক্রম নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Exception)

• But, Except, Barring ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• Everyone came except John. (জন ছাড়া সবাই এসেছে)
• Barring unforeseen circumstances, we will start on time. (অপ্রত্যাশিত পরিস্থিতি বাদ দিলে, আমরা সময়মতো শুরু করব)

উৎস/প্রেরণা/উপসংহার নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Motive/Inference/Source/Origin)

• From, Of ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• He learned the truth from a friend. (সে সত্যটি তার বন্ধুর কাছ থেকে জেনেছে)
• The smell of flowers filled the air. (ফুলের সুগন্ধ বাতাসে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছিল)

দিক নির্দেশক Prepositions (Prepositions of Direction)

• To, Towards, Into, Up, Down, Above, On ইত্যাদি।

উদাহরণ:

• He is going to school. (সে স্কুলে যাচ্ছে)
• The ball rolled into the hole. (বলটি গর্তের মধ্যে গড়িয়ে গেল)
• She walked towards the door. (সে দরজার দিকে এগোল)

গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নোট:

• 📌 কোনো Preposition-এর নির্দিষ্ট বা স্থায়ী অর্থ নেই। একই Preposition বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে বিভিন্ন অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে পারে। এর ব্যবহার নির্ভর করে বাক্যের প্রসঙ্গের ওপর।
• 📌 একই Preposition একাধিক শ্রেণির অধীনে পড়তে পারে। যেমন – with শব্দটি "কার্যনির্বাহ," "সম্পর্ক," "পদ্ধতি," ও "মালিকানা" নির্দেশ করতে পারে।
• 📌 প্রসঙ্গ অনুযায়ী Preposition-এর অর্থ বোঝা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। যেমন –

• He is with me. (সম্পর্ক)
• He cut the paper with scissors. (পদ্ধতি)
• The room is full of students. (মালিকানা)
